Arrive Lombok International Airport (also known as Praya Airport) before 12 noon, and your guide is ready to take you on an island tour.

Head west to Mataram (capital city of Lombok), and visit Mayura Water Palace. Built in mid-eighteenth century, it was once part of the impressive Balinese Kingdom. Then to the big Mandalika market to observe the hustle & bustle of a local mareketplace. Next, Taman Narmada, another eighteenth century creation where its spring water is believed to grant eternal youth to the believers. While a few miles away, Lingsar Temple, also eighteenth century, is not only one of the oldest and holiest temple in Lombok but has become a showcase for religious harmony between various faiths.

Transfer to your hotel at Senggigi Beach.

Your lunch today will be served at a local restaurant while dinner is on own arrangement.

Overnight at Senggigi Beach, Lombok.

This morning, the north-west trip, first stops at Pura Batu Bolong, a lovely composition of a temple ontop of a cliff that extends out into the sea.

Travelling through the green hills of the island, you will take the Pusuk Pass, where at a cliff side, wild monkeys wait eargerly for you to feed them peanuts and bananas.

Upon reaching the bay, board a thirty-to-forty minutes outrigger boat ride to Gili Trawangan, the liveliest of Lombok's famous three gilis (small islands). Here, you can swim in the crystal clear waters and relax at the many cafes & restaurants along the dazzling white beach. Or, on your own expense, go snorkelling at its beautiful coral reefs.

Lunch will be at a local restaurant in Gili Trawangan.

Late afternoon, take the outrigger back to to Bangsal, and then on the coastal drive to your hotel, stop at Malimbu Hill for a spectacular seascape.

Dinner is on your own arrangement.

Overnight at Senggigi Beach, Lombok.

Today, your guide introduces you to the Sasaks and their cultural heritage.

The Sasaks are the main ethnic group of Lombok, and for an idea of a typical Sasak village, visit Sade where the houses and rice storehouse are constructed of wood, bamboo and thatch-roof.

Some of the villages are well known for their home industry such as Sukerare for embroidery, especially gold & silver thread hand-woven songket. Whereas potters in Banyu Mulek make clay pots for everyday use that are simple and uncomplicated in design as well as household decorative items.

Later, head to the southern coast of Lombok for the stunning Kuta Beach - yes, there is a Kuta on Lombok - to have lunch at a local restaurant (on own expense).

Afterwards, a few miles apart from Kuta, is Tanjung A’an, a spectacular coast of clear blue waters embracing a long strip of beach that has white pepper-sized sand grains.

By late afternoon, transfer to the airport; depart Lombok.
